The Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014 (supported by AAPCA) provides that certain employees are entitled to paid sick days. Existing law provides that an employee under the act does not include a provider of in-home support services, as described. This bill would add providers of in-home supportive services to the protections of the sick leave act.
