The federal government has issued draft changes to change existing “public charge” regulations  in a manner that would negatively impact California’s immigrant populations ability to access health care, housing and other support services, when needed.  Even the circulation of the suggested changes is already causing California’s immigrant communities to experience fear, and to fail to seek services to which they  and their children are entitled. This resolution urges the federal government to withdraw these draft regulations;  the resolution is advisory only.
