Would have required patients undergoing first-time pelvic exams  sign acknowledgment for provider  that they’d received an  informational pamphlet, as specified. AAP California opposed the bill’s signature requirement as  inappropriate, as some  patients  might feel signing meant they bore some responsibility to be sure what was done in the exam met the stated information.
