2022 Survey of the Pediatric Population

An important question to ask about any health care system is how well it serves children in low-income families.

In California, the question raises much optimism, though there remain continuing areas of concern as access to high quality health care services for children in low-income families is not keeping pace with rapid expansion in access to insurance.

There is a need for improved monitoring of Medi-Cal managed care, especially for children, and increased efforts to publicly report and use these data to drive quality improvement efforts.

This brief survey is to collect information from our members to assess remaining unmet needs, and gauge emerging issues in children’s health care coverage and delivery, from the perspective of pediatricians.

On behalf of the American Academy of Pediatrics, California we appreciate you taking time to assist us in this effort.
